Sumas utilizes many resources for the application of by-products to land for beneficial reuse. The most economical method of application for liquid materials is by the use of our gravity fed tankers equipped with our custom splash plates, which deliver a twelve foot wide even spread. This is also commonly referred to as direct truck spreading. Solid and semi-solid material are effectively applied with the use of hydraulically controlled manure spreaders in conjunction with our farm tractors. The distance and volume of material dispersion is carefully controlled by the operators to allow for precise agronomic loading rates. Another method of application is via pumps, irrigation lines and guns for direct field application, with minimal equipment traffic on the application site. At the site we are able to offer testing and compilation of data for the owner and/or the generator to aid in determining agronomic rates. We utilize CEM testing equipment and appurtenances for generating this type of data.
