Sumas has a complete inventory of transportation equipment designed for biosolids hauling and handling purposes. We also maintain a fleet of 8,500 to 10,500 gallon tanker trailers all equipped with 10" discharge gates as well as a wide array of semi-end dump trailers and a carefully designed conveyance of truck and trailer units. Through conscientious design and engineering, safety and utilization equipment was created for every type of transportation unit used for biosolids handling. Tanker trailers were equipped with air gates, hatches and spreader plates to evenly distribute biosolids at the application site, and still allow for sealed air tight transportation of liquid materials. Our fleet of semi-end dumps are custom equipped with water tight safety seals and removable tarps, their primary use is to transfer cake (also known as semi-solid materials) and other high volume materials to their predetermined distribution sites. Truck and pup units are also used to transfer cake, but they are specially designed to effectively haul biosolids, their capacity is smaller than semi-end dumps, but offer payloads up to 36 ton by virtue of the extremely light weight of the equipment.
